My Setup: I’ve been using Zigbee for most of my lighting and switches, but recently, I decided to expand by adding some Z-Wave devices for better coverage and functionality. I created a scene where motion sensors trigger not only the lights but also adjust the thermostat and lock the doors. It’s amazing how everything works together now! Tips for Others: - Plan Your Network: Zigbee relies heavily on a strong mesh network, so invest in quality repeaters. - Use the Hub’s Features: Hubitat’s Z-Wave healing and scene programming are incredibly powerful tools. - Start Small: Don’t overwhelm yourself. Add devices gradually and test each integration step by step. Final Thoughts: Integrating multiple protocols wasn’t as daunting as I feared.
