Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience and success in pairing the IKEA Tradfri Motion Sensor with the Philips Hue Bridge. Earlier, I was struggling with this setup, having followed various guides and tutorials multiple times without success. The frustration was real, but persistence paid off!
Initially, I tried using the Hue Essentials app on my iPhone, following a YouTube video guide about 20 times. Despite meticulous steps, the sensor wouldn’t pair. I reached out to the community here, and the support was incredible. Someone suggested checking the firmware versions and ensuring compatibility. That was the breakthrough!
After updating both the Hue Bridge firmware and the iPhone iOS to the latest versions, the pairing process became seamless. The Tradfri Motion Sensor now works perfectly, detecting motion and adjusting the Hue lights as intended. It’s amazing how a simple firmware update can resolve such issues.
