Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with setting up notification sounds for SmartThings on my Android 14 device. Initially, I was a bit puzzled because the method I used to rely on for Android 13 and lower wasn’t working anymore. I used to go into Settings > Apps > SmartThings > Notifications and scroll down to find the notification categories, but they were nowhere to be found. I took screenshots and posted them on the forum, hoping someone could shed some light on the issue.
After some time and a bit of frustration, I stumbled upon a helpful thread where someone mentioned a different approach. Instead of going through the app info, they suggested accessing the notification settings directly from the notification shade. I decided to give it a try, and guess what? It worked like a charm!

- I pulled down the notification shade on my phone.
- I found the SmartThings notification and long-pressed it.
- A menu popped up, and I selected ‘App notifications.’
- From there, I could easily customize the notification sounds for SmartThings.
