Successfully Resolving Camera LED Issues: A Community Success Story

Recently, I encountered an issue with my Wyze PanCam and V2 cameras where the blue LED lights were blinking even after disabling them in the app. This was quite frustrating, especially since the PanCam’s LED is front-facing and very noticeable. I reached out to the community here, explaining my problem and hoping for some guidance.

To my delight, several community members responded with helpful suggestions. One user mentioned that sometimes firmware updates can cause unexpected behavior, so they recommended checking if there was a newer version available. Another suggested reaching out to Wyze support directly, as this might be a known issue.

I decided to try updating the firmware first. After updating, the issue persisted, but I noticed that the blinking was less frequent. Encouraged, I reached out to Wyze support, who acknowledged the problem and provided a beta firmware version to test. This beta firmware completely resolved the LED issue!

This experience was a great reminder of the value of community support. The willingness of others to share their knowledge and time truly made a difference. It also highlighted the importance of persistence and thorough troubleshooting.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this discussion. Your help and advice are invaluable and greatly appreciated!
