Successfully Resolving Motion Sensor Interference Issues

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with resolving a persistent issue in my smart home setup. I’ve been using Aqara motion sensors to control my Hue lighting in the kitchen, but I encountered a problem where the lights would turn off after just a minute of inactivity, even when we were actively using the space. This was particularly frustrating since we rarely eat in the kitchen, and it required constant movement to keep the lights on, which wasn’t ideal. After some research and experimentation, I decided to integrate a virtual outlet into my system. This allowed me to manually control the lights using Alexa, bypassing the motion sensor during meals. However, I noticed that the lights would briefly dim to night levels before returning to full brightness, which was confusing and disruptive.I reached out to the community for advice and was directed to use WebCore for a more seamless integration. By setting up a flow where the virtual outlet controls the lights independently of the motion sensor, I was able to eliminate the interference. Now, when the virtual outlet is activated, the motion sensor is effectively disabled until the lights are turned off again. This solution has been working perfectly, and I no longer have to worry about the lights dimming unexpectedly.I’m really grateful to the community for their support and for pointing me toward WebCore. It’s amazing how a little tweak can make such a big difference in the functionality of a smart home setup. If anyone else is dealing with similar issues, I highly recommend exploring WebCore or other automation tools to find a tailored solution. Happy automating everyone! :rocket:
