Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in setting up a morning radio alarm using my Sonos speakers and TuneIn Radio. It’s such a great way to start the day with some favorite tunes!
I’ve been using Vera for a while now, and while I’ve managed to get my lights and Yamaha AV Amp working seamlessly, I kept running into issues with setting up a scene for my Sonos. Specifically, I wanted the Sonos to play BBC Radio 2 every morning at 7 AM, but I couldn’t figure out the right configuration for the PlayURI field. It was a bit frustrating, but I kept at it!
After some research and trial and error, I finally found the solution. The key was understanding how to correctly format the TuneIn station ID in the PlayURI field. Once I got that right, everything fell into place. Now, every morning, my Sonos speakers automatically switch to BBC Radio 2 at 7 AM, and it’s like having a personal DJ start my day!
