Successfully Setting Up Smart Lighting Scenes

I recently undertook a home renovation project in my living/dining area and wanted to integrate 15 dimmable actors (5x wired Dimm actors 3-fach) into the space. My goal was to create various scenes by combining multiple dimm actors with different dimming levels and control them either via a wired glass display or a wired 6-fach switch. Initially, I was unsure if this was possible since the documentation I reviewed only mentioned controlling individual actors. However, after some research and experimentation, I found a solution that worked perfectly!

I started by mapping out all the actors and their respective dimming capabilities. This helped me visualize how each combination would look in different scenarios. I then programmed the wired glass display to represent each scene with a unique combination of dimm levels. The wired 6-fach switch was configured to cycle through these scenes with a simple press, allowing for easy navigation during use.

The result has been fantastic! Now, I can effortlessly switch between scenes that set the mood for dining, entertaining, or relaxing. For instance, one scene dims the lights to create a cozy ambiance for dinners, while another brightens the space for lively conversations. This setup has transformed my living area into a versatile and comfortable space.

If you’re considering a similar project, my advice is to start small, test each component, and gradually build up your system. It’s also helpful to consult forums and communities for tips and troubleshooting advice. Happy smart home hacking! :rocket:
