Suggestion U200 - Detection of the person unlocking/locking the door

Hello,

I have the U200 lock, which I love! However, there’s a major feature missing from the automations and API for HA/Matter/HomeKit:

The ability to detect who opens or closes the door using the code or fingerprint.

This is extremely important for scenarios like this:

I have a housekeeper who doesn’t have access to the app.

I want the system to deactivate the alarm (from your home using the G350) and turn on all the lights (also from your home) whenever she opens the door.

Then, when she leaves, I want it to do the opposite.

The only way I’ve found is face detection with the G350, but it’s not practical because you have to be sure it detects her—we want to avoid false positives.

Or we could set up a global automation rule like “if door is unlocked,” but that raises several security concerns for me (you never know if someone might figure out the code or something), and to detect my girlfriend and me, we prefer automation via location.

Do you think this is something that’s planned, please?

@Yepcoo Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience with the U200 lock and your thoughtful suggestion—it’s great to see how you’re looking to tailor smart home automations to your specific needs.

Currently, based on the available information, the U200 lock doesn’t support detecting the specific user (via code or fingerprint) for triggering automations in HA/Matter/HomeKit. Your scenario with the housekeeper and personalized routines is definitely practical, and it makes sense to want that level of precision!
