Hi everyone, I’m really excited about the possibility of switching from Vera Secure to Ezlo Secure! I’ve been using Vera Secure for quite some time now, and while it’s been reliable, I’m curious to explore what Ezlo Secure has to offer. Here’s my wish list for a seamless transition:
1. Control4 Integration
This is by far the most important feature for me. I’ve integrated all my lights and security sensors with Control4, allowing me to control Vera devices directly from the Control4 UI and Navigators. Without this integration, a switch simply isn’t feasible.
2. Support for NuTone Devices
I own over 50 NuTone devices, including the NWD500Z, NWT00Z, NWS15Z, and NLB60Z-ZWA. These are all discontinued products, but they’ve served me well. Compatibility with these devices is crucial for me.
3. Fibaro FGD-212 Dimmer Module Support
I’ve been using this dimmer module extensively, and it would be great to continue doing so with Ezlo Secure.
4. Vision Z-Wave Micro Switch Support
I have 10 of these switches, and they’ve been a reliable part of my setup. Ensuring they work with Ezlo Secure is important.
5. Virtual Switches
I use these in conjunction with the House Modes plugin to change modes from Control4. This feature is essential for maintaining the flexibility I’ve grown accustomed to.
6. Hikvision Camera Plugin
While not a deal-breaker since my cameras are currently in Control4, having a fully functional Hikvision Camera plugin would be a nice addition.
I’d love to hear if anyone else is considering a similar switch or if there’s any feedback on these features. Let’s make this transition as smooth as possible!
