Hello everyone,
I’m migrating my devices from an Aqara M2 hub registered on the China Mainland server to a M3 hub registered on the EU/Italy server.
Most of my devices migrated successfully: they connect to the M3 hub, work fine in the Aqara Home app, and are correctly exposed in Apple Home.
However, my T1 switches with neutral connect to the M3 hub and appear in Aqara Home, but they do not show up in the Apple Home app. On the M2 hub (China Mainland server) they were correctly exposed and fully functional in HomeKit.
Is this a regional limitation with the EU server, or a known issue with the M3 firmware? Any workaround or advice would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Hello, maybe you need to remove T1 from Homekit. I assume (this is my opinion) Homekit currently has T1 registered that were connected to M2. You need to clear them from the cache and then add them again. I emphasize, this is my version, I do not use Homekit.
Hello, thank you very much for your reply.
Before pairing the T1 switches with the M3, I made sure to disconnect them from both HomeKit and the M2 hub. For this reason, I don’t think the issue is related to HomeKit itself.
It seems more likely that some unusual configuration or restriction is happening because the devices were originally paired through the China Mainland servers.
Maybe wait a while and the server will register. By the way, did you set the gateway with My Home (Homekit)? I connected and I see all the T1 relays. I’m attaching the screenshots.
Yup same procedure. Did you ever linked the devices to an hub located in china mainland?
Yes, that was 7 years ago.
By the way, it seems that since 2022 they have introduced a regional restriction on devices that could once be connected in different regions. What year is your T1 relay from?

It’s actually a 2022 device… do you think there’s a way to ask to remove the restriction? I have the same devices in another house connected to an Italian hub :o
