Temperature Monitoring and Cooling Solutions

I’ve been exploring ways to monitor and manage the temperature in my server cabinet and home entertainment system. I’ve heard great things about the ADC Smart Thermostat, but I’m curious if it’s the best fit for my setup. I’d love to know if there are alternative methods or devices that could work better for my specific needs.

One of my main concerns is ensuring that the fans in my server cabinet don’t fail silently. I’d like to set up temperature thresholds that alert me if things get too hot. Is there a way to integrate remote sensors with the thermostat to adjust heating and cooling based on specific zones? For example, if I have a sensor in my master bedroom, can the thermostat adjust the temperature there without affecting the sensors in the server cabinet or entertainment center?

Another scenario I’m considering is switching between different sensors as I move around the house. If I’m in the kitchen and want the thermostat to adjust based on the kitchen sensor, how would that work? I’m also wondering if alerts from one sensor can trigger even if other sensors are within their safe ranges. For instance, if my entertainment center sensor reads 110°F, can it alert me even if the bedroom is at a comfortable 78°F?

I’d also like to know how many remote sensors I can connect to the thermostat. I’ve heard that some systems have limitations, and I want to make sure I can scale this solution as needed.

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions! I’m really looking forward to hearing how others have tackled similar challenges.
