Hey everyone! I’m really excited to share my recent experience with integrating the Sonoff SNZB-02 devices into my home automation setup. As a bit of a newbie in the world of smart home tech, I’ve been experimenting with Hubitat and have found it to be a fantastic platform to work with.
My main goal was to set up a system that could monitor temperatures and humidity levels throughout my house and eventually control my radiators based on this data. I’ve managed to pair several Sonoff SNZB-02 devices without any issues, and it’s been great to see the real-time temperature and humidity readings on my dashboard.
However, I ran into a bit of a snag when trying to display all the temperature data at once. Initially, I thought adding them to the dashboard would be straightforward, but it turned out to be a bit more involved. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that creating custom dashboards with individual tiles for each device was the way to go. It’s a bit more hands-on, but it allows for a much cleaner and organized view of all my sensors.
One feature I’m really looking forward to implementing is the automated radiator control based on temperature thresholds. I’ve started drafting some simple automations that will trigger the radiators to turn on or off depending on the sensor readings. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to see how this system will improve my home’s comfort and efficiency.
I’d love to hear from others who have set up similar systems. What tips or tricks do you have for optimizing temperature monitoring and radiator control? Any favorite integrations or tools that make this process smoother? Looking forward to your insights and experiences!
