Congratulations, but I don’t understand, was it bought with Aqara points?
@AqaraOfficial Why can’t I redeem my coupons in the Aqara Store via Amazon, but only via the official site, if this is also sent as an Amazon order (according to DHL tracking number)?
I’m not sure if you can set up special coupon codes like this on Amazon. In addition, as a retailer, Aqara has to pay fees to Amazon on each sale, but this can be avoided this way. Shipping via Amazon Fulfillment (FBA) also incurs fees, but these are lower. The shipping costs of $9.99 probably go almost entirely to Amazon.
Yeah it’s possible, that a lot of the shipping costs go to Amazon, but if I order on Amazon, it’s only €3,99 or €4,99 shipping fees, with prime it’s free :).
I had some special coupons for other Amazon shops, and that worked perfectly fine.
Aber… kann‘ma nix mache. 's isch halt so.
You are viewing the costs from the customer’s perspective. However, these are not the actual costs incurred by the retailer.
First, depending on the country, about 20% tax has to be deducted from the $9.99, leaving $7.99.
The retailer must also pay Amazon a percentage of the sale price, usually around 7–15%. In addition, there are monthly storage fees for FBA which increase the longer an item is stored at Amazon. Amazon also charges basic fees, fees for labelling goods, and fees for other services and shipping. Shipping fees are higher than usual during peak sales periods, such as Christmas (15 October 2025 to 14 January 2026). If an item is stored for too long, Amazon will return it to the retailer, resulting in further charges. The total fees charged by Amazon are not covered by the shipping costs paid by customers, especially if goods are returned, since the sales price and shipping costs are refunded to the customer, but the retailer still pays the costs of shipping and return shipping.
Yeah, I think I got it.
But thanks for your informations ![]()
It was from the lucky wheel
