The Magic of the Dial V1 - touchless Switch

So today I want to show one of my favourite automations with the Dial V1 !!!

The magic switch - turning on and off by touchless swiping over the Dial V1

Swiping to turn on

Swiping to turn off

so set the proximity Activation to near

this is the automation that turns on / off the lights

for me it´s a great feeling to turn on/off the lights just my swiping over … no need to press or toggle

What do you think of it guys?

Anyone else using this already?

Hey Aqara team @Caroline_Zzz @AqaraOfficial - I have one thing what needs definitely needs to improved for the Dials V1 !!! The proximity Activation needs a detection interval to set! So we have much more options to make this touchless smart! This would really awesome

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. The Proximity Activation function currently supports adjustable levels, which means it can adjust the distance. I’m not sure how to understand the detection interval you mentioned.

Hello and welcome @yinni_zhang_a1294
With the detection interval I mean the time you can select the time range - like from a motion sensor

Hello, I understand what you said about the detection interval. However, for the screen, this function involves the need to light up the screen when it detects someone approaching. If an interval is added, it will affect this function of lighting up the screen when someone approaches. I understand why you propose adding this interval time, to avoid the screen constantly flickering on and off as soon as someone gets close. An interval time can be set to prevent the screen from turning on and off within that time. But this function affects the screen on and off functions. The screen on, screen off, and human presence (someone/no one) need to be completely distinguished before adding the interval. Therefore, the interval time cannot be added for the time being.

Hmm @yinni_zhang_a1294 need the detection interval for helping this automation

Without , the touchless switch is not active for an unexpected time ( I think it’s two minutes) to turn /off the switch by swiping over it again
