The “multi function mode” on my aqara double H1 switch is not working on homekit with my new M3 hub. why?

Is it a wired switch H1 or wireless remote switch H1?

Can you share more detail on how you configured the button (for example what are you trying to achieve in Apple Home)? And do you have any HomePods or newer Apple TV?

I’ve just tested my wireless remote switch H1 (connected to Apple Home via Matter) and it works fine

Thank you for your response.
Wireless switch
Homekit via Zigbee, not Matter
Homepod

To clarify, I also use Zigbee mode - it describes the protocol used to communicate between the wireless and the hub.

My question now is: do you see single press, double press and long press when you open switch settings in Apple Home?

Btw Matter is a technical standard for interoperability of smart devices and it works over WiFi or Thread communication protocol.

By “Matter integration” I meant I connected my Hub M3 to Apple Home by using this type of integration.

When you go to Hub M3 settings, you can click “Matter” and then “Matter Pairing Code” to pair the M3 using Matter. This code can be used to pair the device in Apple Home (it will work very similarly to your standard Apple Home integration).

Note: if you follow these steps without deleting the hub from Apple Home, it will duplicate the devices.

Yes, I do see single press, double press and long press when I open switch settings in Apple Home

However it does let me add any scenes or accessories to Button 1

I have solved the problem by using my Camera Hub G3 for the H1 switches. As an older hub model it’s still compatible I guess.

That’s good to know that you fixed it but nevertheless it’s a really strange it didn’t work. I guess there is a bug in the M3 firmware.
