Thermostat Hub W200 comparison to Ecobee

I’m just learning about the Thermostat Hub W200 and considering it as a replacement for an Ecobee thermostat. How does the W200 compare, and will there be capabilities for multi-room temperature and presence sensing? Are there additional benefits that Ecobee doesn’t provide?

Everything public we know about the W200 is from CES. I saw it there. It does support external temperature sensors (not sure how many), integrates with the doorbells, has a built in mmWave sensor, supports Apple’s Adaptive Temperature.

It’s not available yet except perhaps in private beta testing by users who wouldn’t be able to disclose anything. Hopefully we’ll more have details soon and you can evaluate it against the ecobee. Unless someone from Aqara wants to comment in the meantime

The product page on Aqara shop says, “Equipped with an mmWave presence sensor, the W200 intelligently responds to human presence.”
That really appeals to me, because thermostats are usually in a good location for occupancy/presence detection and now I wouldn’t need a 2nd device.

I really like the idea that this could be a security hub as well. Wish it worked with more than just Aqara cameras.
