I have a Floor Heating Thermostat W500 connected to my water-based underfloor heating system. Once the temperature on the thermostat reaches the desired level to switch on the heating, the relay clicks as expected but it takes exactly 2 minutes and 5 seconds to draw heat from wiring centre which then instantly switches the boiler on.
As soon as the sensor reaches the desired temperature to switch off it stops drawing heat immediately as expected.
I have tried the unit in multiple rooms and the delay is the same. Different brands of thermostat call for heat as soon as the relay was switched on so this feels like a software issue. Has anybody found the same problem with the unit?
@mr_mr It sounds like you’re experiencing a delay with your Aqara Floor Heating Thermostat W500 in activating your water-based underfloor heating system. From the information available, the thermostat is designed with advanced features for precise temperature control and energy efficiency, but there isn’t a specific mention of a delay in heating activation similar to what you described.
This could potentially be linked to the thermostat’s internal processing or the setup of your heating system. It’s also worth considering the thermostat’s energy-saving features, which may include mechanisms to manage heating efficiency and avoid unnecessary power usage.
