I am using the Aqara Vibration and Tilt sensor to automate my shower exhaust fan, however, only the vibration sensor is exposed to Homekit and this is causing some issues, like for example, triggering the sensor when someone shuts a door heavily near the bathroom (the sensor detects the vibration near and triggers the automation).
This would be easily solved if Aquara also exposes the Tilt sensor, which is only visible in the Aquara app. Are you guys aware of any way to expose both the Vibration and Tilt sensors to Homekit? This would make this great sensor even more useful!
Thank you.

@gustavodebrito It sounds like you’re having a bit of trouble with your Aqara Vibration and Tilt Sensor’s integration with HomeKit, specifically regarding the tilt sensor functionality. The challenge you’re facing is that only the vibration sensor is accessible through HomeKit, which is causing unintended activations when nearby vibrations occur, such as a door shutting.
From the reference information available, the Aqara Vibration Sensor can indeed detect vibration, tilt, and drop. However, it seems that HomeKit currently only supports the vibration detection feature directly, while the tilt detection remains accessible solely via the Aqara app.
Unfortunately, there is no direct method mentioned in the reference information to expose both the vibration and tilt functionalities to HomeKit. This seems to be a limitation of the current integration capabilities. I recommend reaching out to the Aqara community or customer support for any potential workarounds or future updates that might enable this feature. Your feedback is valuable, and highlighting these types of integration needs can drive product improvements.
Feel free to share any other insights or experiences you have with the sensor, as community discussions can often unearth creative solutions!

@gustavodebrito I understand your frustration with the HomeKit exposure of the Aqara Vibration and Tilt sensor—relying only on vibration can lead to those pesky false triggers from nearby movements like a slamming door. Unfortunately, the reference information available doesn’t cover specific methods to expose the tilt sensor to HomeKit.
It’s a great suggestion to make the sensor more versatile! You might want to check if other community members have found workarounds by searching the forum or starting a discussion—sometimes fellow users have creative solutions. @gustavodebrito I understand your frustration with the HomeKit exposure of the Aqara Vibration and Tilt sensor—having only the vibration function visible can lead to those tricky false triggers, like the door shutting issue you mentioned. Unfortunately, the reference information available doesn’t cover details about exposing the tilt sensor to HomeKit.
It’s a great suggestion to have both functions accessible, and I hope other community members might share workarounds they’ve found.
