Touchscreen dial v1 - please add more device support

The Touchscreen dial v1 is really neat. What would make it even more neat is Matter thermostat compatibility.

I have controllers in my mini splits that are Home Assistant compatible, thus I’ve exposed them to my M3 hub as Matter climate devices using the Matter Hub plugin. It would be amazing if Aqara would add support for this, and perhaps other select Matter devices.

I totally understand why compatibility with Aqara products is priority, but the touchscreen dial would be perfect for this use case and would boost sales. Using the M3’s IR blaster for AC control is not ideal.

Support for Matter LED controllers would also be welcome. I would use the higher wattage controller available, but they seem to be limited to the China market.

I can’t be the only one out there who wants to see this happen.

Thank you. Really, it would be great if it can control any Matter device that can be bound to the Aqara hub. I mentioned thermostat specifically because of the dial’s temp/humidity readouts.

If the full device functionality can be exposed in other platforms, like Home Assistant for example, there would be lots of buyers as it has the most premium feel of any dial controller.

Hi I would like to 1up this additionally is M3 air conditioning different with m200? I got my m200 set up for IR AC control but its not working either. So if this is not supported I would like to 1up to add this too considering they are both aqara it should work.

Hello, welcome to the forum. Please describe in more detail what the problem is. It works fine for me.
Have you tried teaching the IR from the original remote?

Hi thankyou for responding, I have the m200 with my AC matched. For reference, since I saw a lot of discussion regaridng stateless and satefull ir ac my remote is 7406 in the database. In dial v1 the ac so not show up, even the hub doesn’t show up. Now just a note I havent linked a climate sensor yet on this ac so maybe that matters?

Theoretically, this has no effect.

I am strongly supporting this as well. It would be even better to just expose the switch as a zigbee/matter device which could be used by builders independently of the hub - like your line of H2 EU switches.

The use case (and potential additional sales for you) is to use the switch with Home Assistant. I would deck my house with one per room if I could just use it as I wish and not only to control pre-planned Aqara devices.
