Customizing Notifications I’ve found that the key to making this work seamlessly is ensuring the notification text in SmartThings exactly matches what Tasker is looking for. A little tweak I discovered is adjusting the Stream setting in Tasker to “Notification” for consistent volume levels. If you want your alerts to override Do Not Disturb, switching to “Alarm” works like a charm! Battery Optimization Tips Battery life has been a concern, especially with devices that rely on notifications. I’ve learned that disabling battery optimization for apps like Tasker, SmartThings, and other critical services is crucial. While it might drain the battery a bit more, it ensures my devices communicate without delays. Testing and Tweaking Testing different scenarios has been a fun process. I’ve used dummy notifications, like sending myself an email, to simulate triggers without waiting for real events. It’s also been enlightening to explore Tasker’s conditional actions, such as checking if Do Not Disturb is active before sending alerts.
