Trouble Pairing W200 – QR Code Not Recognized

Hi everyone,

I just got the Aqara W200 and am having trouble pairing it. When I try to scan the QR code, I get an “incorrect QR code” error and “accessory not supported.”

A few things I’ve tried:

  • Cleared the app cache
  • Restarted my phone
  • Tried adding the device manually, but it’s not listed in the app

For context:

  • I’m running Android version 6.1.5
  • I’m located in Canada but using the US server

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any tips on getting the W200 paired would be appreciated!

The solution that worked for me: I entered the pairing code manually instead of scanning the QR. After that, the device paired successfully.

I wonder if that is Android related or occurs on both Android and iOS. Either way it’s good to know in case it happens to others.
