Troubleshooting Aeotec Multisensor Automation Issues

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Aeotec Multisensor and automations. After migrating from SmartThings Classic, I noticed that some of my Good Morning routines weren’t triggering as expected. While the Samsung motion sensors worked flawlessly, the Aeotec sensors, which are all battery-powered, seemed to be the culprit.

Initially, I was a bit puzzled since the sensors themselves were detecting motion and reporting it correctly. However, they weren’t activating the automations. I did some digging and realized that the issue might be related to the device handlers or firmware versions.

After updating one of the Aeotec sensors to the latest firmware, I noticed a significant improvement. The sensor started triggering the automation reliably. It seems that the firmware update was the key to resolving the issue. I’ve since updated all my Aeotec sensors, and they’re now working perfectly with my routines.

This experience taught me the importance of keeping firmware up to date, even for devices that seem to be functioning normally. I’m grateful for the community resources that helped me troubleshoot this issue. If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I’d recommend checking for firmware updates as a first step! :rocket:
