Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with the Logitech Circle View doorbell in case it helps someone else out there struggling with similar issues. ![]()
After a recent transformer upgrade, setting up my doorbell was a breeze and it worked perfectly for about two years. However, out of the blue, it stopped functioning properly. I tried everything—resetting, checking the 2.4 GHz network, moving the mount power next to the router, multiple resets, even power cycling the hub and router. Nothing worked!
I was really frustrated and on the verge of giving up. But then I remembered an old trick—using a USB cable for power. I decided to give it a shot. I drilled a small hole through the bottom of the mount and used a slim, 90-degree USB cable to power the doorbell. To my delight, it worked perfectly! ![]()
For the past six months, the doorbell has been running smoothly without any issues. The only downside is the visible USB cable, but it’s barely noticeable unless you’re looking from a low angle. If I had a 3D printer, I’d probably design a cleaner housing for the cable, but for now, this solution works great!
I hope this little hack helps someone else avoid the same frustration. If you’re dealing with a stubborn doorbell, give the USB power workaround a try—it might just save the day! ![]()
