Troubleshooting Group Bulb Issues: Insights and Tips

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and ran into an interesting challenge with my Sengled Element Color Plus bulbs. I wanted to share my experience in case others are facing similar issues or have additional insights to offer.

The Setup:
I recently installed a Hubitat C8 hub in my kitchen, aiming to replace my partner’s existing Hue setup. The goal was to have all six kitchen lights respond to a single voice command, like “Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights.” Initially, four of the six bulbs worked perfectly, but the remaining two (which were color bulbs) didn’t respond. After some troubleshooting, I replaced all bulbs with Sengled bulbs paired directly to the Hubitat C8. Unfortunately, the issue persisted—only four out of six bulbs would turn on.

What I Tried:- Checked Zigbee Power Settings: I noticed the Zigbee power was set to 8, so I changed it back to the default of 16. No luck there.- Reviewed Network Interference: The neighborhood has some existing Zigbee networks from the builder’s setup, which might be causing interference.- Reset and Re-pair: I tried resetting the bulbs and re-pairing them with the hub, but the same issue remained.

Possible Solutions and Tips:- Firmware Updates: Ensure all bulbs and hubs are running the latest firmware.- Check for Interference: If possible, try moving the hub or bulbs to minimize interference from other devices.- Test Individually: Sometimes isolating the issue by testing bulbs one by one can help identify problematic devices.

**Positive Outlook:**Despite the challenges, I’m optimistic about finding a solution. It’s amazing how these smart devices can transform a space, and I’m excited to get everything working smoothly. If anyone has faced a similar issue or has additional troubleshooting steps, I’d love to hear about them!

Happy smart lighting adventures to all!
