Troubleshooting Guide: Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 Matter Setup Failure Across Smart Home Platforms

If you encounter issues setting up your already connected Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 on a different smart home platform, follow these troubleshooting steps:

(1) If the Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 does not appear, or you’re unable to generate a pairing code in the app where the device is already paired, restart the Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 (a Matter-certified device).

(2) Avoid generating pairing codes sequentially across multiple smart home apps. If the initial pairing code is unused or hasn’t expired yet, any subsequent codes generated will be ineffective.

(3) Ensure the setup process for the Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 is completed before its Matter pairing code expires:

(4) When entering the numeric pairing code (or scanning the QR code) to connect the Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 to another app, keep the pairing code page open in the original app.

(5) If connection issues persist, restart your Matter Hub and the Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300, clear the cache of all relevant apps, and reboot your mobile device. Then attempt the setup process again as normal.

Important Note:

Prior to setting up your connected Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 with Alexa, ensure your Alexa Echo device has been updated to the latest software version.
