Troubleshooting Harmony Hub Connection Issues

I’m reaching out to the community for help with my Harmony Hub after a recent Home Assistant update. The update seems to have caused some instability, and I’m encountering a few issues. Let me walk through what’s happening and what I’ve tried so far.

First, the error logs indicate that the Harmony Hub is taking longer than the scheduled update interval, which is set to 5 seconds. This is leading to warnings about the update taking too long. Additionally, when trying to update the LG TV remote, I’m getting a WebSocket connection error. The logs show that the connection is closed with code 1006, which typically means the connection was closed abnormally.

I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps:

  1. Factory Reset: I performed a factory reset on the Harmony Hub, but the issue persists. This suggests that the problem isn’t related to a corrupted configuration on the hub itself.

  2. Network Check: I checked the network settings to ensure that the Harmony Hub has a stable connection. The hub is connected via Ethernet, and the network itself seems to be functioning correctly. I also restarted the router, but that didn’t resolve the issue.

  3. Firmware Update: I verified that the Harmony Hub is running the latest firmware version. It appears that it is, so updating the firmware isn’t an option at this time.

  4. Home Assistant Restart: Restarting Home Assistant didn’t help either. The issue remains, and the WebSocket connection continues to fail.

  5. Configuration Review: I reviewed the Home Assistant configuration to ensure that the Harmony Hub integration is correctly set up. Everything seems to be in order, but I’m not entirely confident about the WebSocket settings.

I’m starting to think that the issue might be related to how Home Assistant is handling the WebSocket connection after the update. Perhaps there’s a bug in the new version that’s causing this instability. I’m considering reaching out to the Home Assistant support team to see if others are experiencing similar issues.

In the meantime, I’m looking for any workarounds or additional troubleshooting steps that I can take to stabilize the connection. If anyone has encountered a similar problem and found a solution, I’d greatly appreciate your input.

Thank you in advance for your help!
