Troubleshooting Shelly Device Connectivity and Exploring Alternatives

I’ve recently been exploring Shelly devices for my smart home setup, and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition! However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hiccup with one of my Shelly Plus 2PM units. Despite following all the setup instructions, the device isn’t being detected by the Shelly app or browser interface. It’s frustrating because it worked perfectly at a friend’s house, but not here.

I’ve checked the Wi-Fi connection, restarted the device multiple times, and even tried resetting it to factory settings. Nothing seems to work. I’m wondering if anyone else has faced this issue and how they resolved it. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!

On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with the speed and reliability of my Shelly motion sensors. They detect movement almost instantly, which is crucial for my security setup. It’s just a shame that the 2PM isn’t cooperating.

If anyone has suggestions for alternative devices that offer similar functionality, I’d love to hear them. I’m particularly interested in finding something that’s easy to integrate with my existing smart home ecosystem.
