Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to share my experience and seek some advice regarding SSH login issues in OpenHAB 2. I recently upgraded from OpenHAB 1.8 to version 2, and while most things have been smooth, I’m encountering some challenges with SSH connections.
Previously, with OpenHAB 1.8 running as root, I had SSH keys set up for seamless access. However, in OpenHAB 2, it now runs under the ‘openhab’ user, and I’m struggling to replicate the same setup. I’ve tried adding the SSH key to the ‘openhab’ user’s authorized keys, but it doesn’t seem to work. I’m not even sure if I have the correct password for the ‘openhab’ user—just tried ‘karaf’ without success.
I’m wondering if there are specific permissions or configurations needed for SSH keys when running under a non-root user. Has anyone else faced this issue? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
