Hello everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home automation and I’m trying to set up a weather display using the ApiXU provider. I chose ApiXU because it seemed reliable, but recently I’ve encountered some issues. The weather add-on is throwing errors, and I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Let me walk you through what I’ve done so far and where I’m stuck.
First, I configured the weather add-on with ApiXU, but I noticed that it’s redirecting to Weatherstack now. I followed the setup guide and made sure my API key was correct. However, when I check the logs, I see an error message: error code: 1010. The error details mention something about an unrecognized token, which I’m not quite sure how to interpret.
I tried running the REST call in my browser, and it returned a message saying that the ApiXU endpoint is deprecated and suggesting I switch to Weatherstack. That’s a bit confusing because I thought ApiXU was still supported. I looked into the Weatherstack API, but it’s quite different from what I was using before, and I’m not sure how to adapt my setup.
I’m wondering if there’s a way to update my configuration to work with Weatherstack without having to start from scratch. Is there a community-created solution or a guide that could help me transition smoothly? I don’t want to lose all my current settings and integrations.
I also considered whether this issue is affecting others or if it’s just my setup. I checked the forums and didn’t find anyone with the exact same problem, but I’m sure someone must have encountered this transition from ApiXU to Weatherstack. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
