I’m currently trying to set up my Homey device at my camping site, where I have a small caravan. The goal is to control various devices remotely. I successfully connected Homey to my home Wi-Fi, but now I’m facing difficulties connecting it to the camping Wi-Fi. Here’s what I’ve tried:
-
Identifying Available Networks: When I go through the setup, I see four Wi-Fi options. Two are password-free, and two require a password. Unfortunately, none of these networks are connecting. I get the error message: ‘Cannot connect to this Wi-Fi point.’
-
Testing with a 4G Modem: I have a TPLink M600 4G modem that creates a personal Wi-Fi network. This network supports two cameras, which work perfectly. However, Homey still can’t connect to this network either.
-
Procedure Clarification: During the setup, there’s a step where Homey connects to its own Wi-Fi without an internet connection. I’m not entirely sure if this is causing the issue, as I proceed through the setup despite this.
I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing in the setup process or if there’s a specific configuration required for the camping Wi-Fi. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
