I recently added several new Zigbee bulbs to my system, and while they paired without any issues and appear in the device list, I noticed that they aren’t showing up when I try to configure new tiles on my dashboard. This is a bit frustrating because I was really looking forward to customizing my smart home setup. I did some quick research and found that sometimes rebooting the hub can help refresh the device list. I’ll give that a try and see if it resolves the issue.
On another note, I’ve been really impressed with how my Zigbee network has been handling multiple devices. I currently have over 40 Philips Hue bulbs and several Aquara thermometers, and it’s running smoothly. However, I’m planning to add even more devices, including smart curtains and possibly a ceiling fan. I’m curious if anyone has experience with using multiple Homey Bridges to manage a large Zigbee network. Would it be possible to connect two bridges side by side and have them both controlled from a single app? I’m also wondering if there are any recommended routers or network strategies to optimize performance as my setup grows.
Lastly, I wanted to share a helpful tip for anyone dealing with push notifications. I recently discovered that linking notifications directly to specific apps or website URLs can make them much more actionable. For example, if you receive a notification about motion in your garden, you could tap it to open your security camera app and check the situation immediately. This feature has really enhanced my smart home experience, and I hope more platforms adopt it in the future.
If anyone has advice on resolving the dashboard issue, tips for managing a large Zigbee network, or thoughts on expanding smart home capabilities, I’d love to hear them!
