Hello everyone! I just came across some information that Tuya devices can be integrated locally without relying on the cloud. I’ve been using Tuya through their cloud service for quite some time now, and I must say, I’m pretty satisfied with it. However, seeing a video that suggested both local and cloud integration could coexist made me curious.
Currently, all my devices are connected via the Tuya cloud, and it works seamlessly. The idea of adding a local setup without losing the cloud connection sounds intriguing. This way, my Home Assistant configurations wouldn’t suddenly become obsolete if I switch to a local setup. But I’m not entirely sure how this would work. Would there be any conflicts or issues if I enable the local integration alongside the existing cloud setup?
I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully combined both methods. Is it as smooth as it seems, or are there potential pitfalls I should be aware of? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
