Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating the Tuya WiFi Temperature & Humidity Sensor into Home Assistant. I recently purchased this sensor from AliExpress, and I must say, the setup process was quite straightforward with the Smart Life app. However, I encountered an unexpected issue when adding it to Home Assistant through the Tuya integration. The sensor appeared as a switch instead of a temperature and humidity sensor, which was a bit confusing at first. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that ensuring the correct device type in the integration settings was crucial. Once I adjusted that, everything worked seamlessly. I’m now able to monitor both temperature and humidity in my living room, which has significantly improved my smart home setup. If anyone else is facing similar issues, I’d recommend double-checking the device type and settings during integration. It’s a great device once everything is set up properly!
