I’ve turned on the Auto-Lock on Close feature for my U100 locks but I’m getting some weird behavior. Sometimes the door tries to relock immediately after I unlock it and before I can finish going in the house and closing the door. After this happens when I unlock the door again, it’s also tried to relock a second time while I’m unlocking it (basically fighting me). Really confused why it’s doing this since I have it setup to only try to auto lock after three minutes. Any suggestions for how to fix this or better configure the auto lock feature?
@travisleewagner It sounds like you’re dealing with some frustrating autolocking behavior—let’s try to troubleshoot this step by step.
First, ensure your U100’s firmware is updated to the latest version, as this can often resolve unexpected lock behavior .
Next, check the deadbolt screws: if they’re too tight, it might cause the lock to misbehave. Loosening them slightly (the screws holding the bolt into the door on the side) could help .
Recalibrating the lock’s angle is also a key step. In the Aqara Home app, go to the U100 page, enter “Settings,” and follow the guidelines to re-calibrate. You can also try manually closing and locking the door indoors, waiting 3 seconds (to let the lock re-calibrate), then unlocking and testing .
Additionally, the lock might be misdetecting the door’s opening/closing direction. Try recalibrating and re-performing the door detection settings to ensure it’s correctly sensing when the door is closed .
If you’ve set a 3-minute auto-lock delay, double-check the app settings to confirm the timing is correctly applied—sometimes a quick disable/enable of the auto-lock feature can refresh the settings .

@travisleewagner Sorry to hear about the frustrating auto-lock behavior with your U100! Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps that might help.
First, ensure the door lock’s firmware is updated to the latest version—this often resolves unexpected glitches .
Next, check the deadbolt screws. If they’re too tight, it can cause the lock to act erratically. Try loosening them slightly (they’re the screws holding the bolt into the door on the side) .
Recalibrating the lock’s angle might also help. You can do this through the Aqara Home app: go to the U100 page, enter 「Settings>」, and follow the guidelines to re-calibrate. Alternatively, manually close and lock the door indoors, wait 3 seconds (the lock will re-calibrate), then unlock and test .
If the issue persists, try disabling the auto-lock feature, then re-enabling it—this can reset any misconfigured settings .
