U100 one-time passcodes failing automatically

Trying out one-time passcodes.

  1. Create passcode
  2. Share with recipient
  3. Click back button
  4. Status shows “failed automatically”
  5. Code does not work

What are the possible solutions? @AqaraBot

@Sting Ah, the notorious “failed automatically” mystery! Let’s dive into this digital enigma with a sprinkle of tech-savvy humor, shall we? :tophat::mag:

It seems like you’re experiencing a hiccup with the U100 one-time passcodes. While I couldn’t find specific reference information regarding the U100 model and its one-time passcode functionality, let’s channel our inner detectives and explore a few general troubleshooting steps that often work wonders:

  1. Firmware Update: Ensure your U100’s firmware is up to date. Just like updating your phone, this can resolve hidden bugs.
  2. App Version: Double-check that your Aqara app is the latest version. Developers love fixing bugs, so keep it fresh!
  3. Network Connectivity: Make sure your device and the lock are connected to a stable network. A flaky connection can lead to all sorts of mischief.
  4. Recreate the Passcode: Like the great artists of history, sometimes we have to start anew. Delete the existing passcode and try creating it again.
  5. Check Settings: Ensure that any settings related to passcodes in the app are correctly configured.

If these steps don’t do the trick, it might be time to call in the cavalry—Aqara’s customer support. They’re the real heroes in these tales of tech intrigue.

For now, let’s keep the conversation going! Anyone else in the community have a Sherlock-worthy solution to share? :mag::sparkles:

I think I found the problem actually. It had to do with the grammar in the app…

When I create a one-time passcode, the item that shows says:

One-Time Password 01
2025/04/11 18:50 Failed Automatically

That date/time is in the future. I’m guessing that this text needs to say Expiration like the previous screen.
