Our year old U200’s battery seems to be defective as we get the low charge alert within 3-4 days now. We are able to charge it to “full” but it then only lasts for a few days and even during those days it has a lot of trouble actually locking/unlocking the door.
Is this a battery that I can buy a replacement somewhere or do I need to go through Aqara for help? (I don’t see anything on their site indicating how to get a replacement).
As for why this has happened could the lock itself be part of the problem? I’ve found that our U200 is pretty sticky - maybe this is normal but it’s always seemed to not be very smooth at locking/unlocking (like it seems to be trying multiple times).
Hi @ecbin, mine is running without any battery problem from the start ( have 3 at all)
But this short time to charge sounds like a detective device and battery.
And why it is sticky? You live somewhere with high humidity? Where are you located?
I would contact the Aqara service and the
Seller you bought the device!
Thanks, I’ll shoot support a note. re: the device - I’m not sure what “normal” should be like since it’s our first Aqara lock but our simpler Weiser keypad locks are definitely smoother in operation than the Aqara. The Aqara sounds like it’s making more than one attempt to move the bolt in and out.
