I’m thinking of getting a U200 lite but can anyone tell me if the U200 will fit over the Ultion thumbturn lock, the thumbturn isn’t removable unless I try to drill the pin out to the lock.
@phil1 The Aqara Smart Door Lock U200 is compatible with specific lock types, including EU Mortise Lock and US Deadbolt Lock. However, it is not compatible with certain locks and cylinders, such as self-locking locks, rim locks, and gate locks. Since the Ultion thumbturn lock isn’t explicitly mentioned in the compatibility list, and given its unique features—like the non-removable thumbturn—it’s uncertain whether the U200 would fit over it without modification.

Give a photo of the lock.
A mandatory condition that needs to be checked. Insert the keys from both sides and start turning them both at the same time. If they move the bolt independently of each other, you can start thinking about the u200 and analyze further.
When I turn the key on the outside the thumbturn on the inside turns as well, is this not good for the U200?
Yes, that’s just fine. I thought you had a two-way key.
There are two options for attaching the lock.
- Using the hexagonal mini-slots in the mount, the inserts (red arrow) are clamped onto the secret body (blue arrow).
- Figure 2 shows quite clearly how the lock is attached in another way. There is a drawback to this method, the holes do not always match the lock.
The rotation handle is too big.
I had a handle (1) like yours, I removed it and made an adapter (it came with the kit) to replace it. To replace it, I used one of the adapters in the kit and fixed it with the slot that held the handle (2, blue arrow). To be honest, I had a little trouble with the alteration.
There is another way, buy a new key insert that has a key on both sides and a mandatory condition! The keys inserted on both sides should turn, there should be no blocking of each other!
Thanks for the info. unfortunately I don’t really want to change the key barrel as I have 4 door all keyed alike and all have thumbturns. Maybe I can remove the barrel and drill out the pin, remove the thumbturn and use the adapters.
