Forgive my ignorance if this subject is already covered in other posts.
I purchased a U200 around 3 months ago to fit to a new door which has arrived and now complete. All the “blurb” states how easy it is to fit, setup and use. Unfortunately, I find myself after 5 days of fighting with this lock on the verge of taking a hammer to it!
The door has no lever, it is a pull-bar operation.
The lock is key operated outside and thumb lock inside (with the U200 fitted).
All functions work as expected except for the final latch opening! It just doesn’t seem to go far enough to fully retract the latch.
I have tried Auto Calibrate, Manual Calibrate, with and without "Pull Spring Feature, resetting it, and factory resetting it to start the process again.
Having just had the door fitted (within the last week) I am reluctant to start messing around with it but could it be that this needs adjusting?
If the door is ajar everything deems to work fine and smooth, the lock and “hooks” retract and the latch is held back for the 5 secs I’ve set then releases fine.
When the door is closed, all is good up to the point of retracting the latch, it tries…but just cant get those extra few mm to allow me to open.
I’ve searched the forums, watched numerous videos and tried a few different options but still nothing.
If there is anyone out there with other options other than the hammer then please give me some advice.
