U200 siren and factory reset

Hi, I have an Aqara U200 smart lock. I was changing the batteries in the keypad when it suddenly started sounding the siren. After replacing the batteries, I thought everything was fine, but when I tried to lock the door, the siren went off again and the keypad wouldn’t accept any input.

I tried to factory reset it and even removed it from the Aqara app (which I now realize was a mistake). Now it won’t let me factory reset it at all, because the siren activates as soon as I press any buttons on the keypad.

What can I do to fix this?

Reads like you had the Theft Prevention feature enabled prior to those series of events you described. Only the owner can deactivate that feature via the Aqara app prior to all those events.

If you are the owner/Admin open the Aqara app navigate to the Lock settings and disable that feature. I’ve never used the U200 so I’m not certain of the exact navigation menu but it should say Theft Prevention or Theft Protection with a toggle.

Hi, even if you deleted it from the app, the keypad remembers your master password or fingerprint.
You need that for resetting or stopping the alarm. Still available the password?

I am very sorry to hear about what you experienced. After reinstalling the battery, did you also reinstall the keypad properly? If the keypad is not installed correctly, a tamper alarm may be triggered. Deleting the door lock from the Aqara app does not remove fingerprints or passwords. Please try reinstalling the keypad properly and then enter the administrator fingerprint and password again.

If the issue still cannot be resolved, could you provide a related video for us to analyze?
