Is it possible that the locked door position engages the deadbolt in the same way as when I turn the key myself—so that it extends the deadbolt—but when unlocking, it does not also retract the latch, only the deadbolt itself? I only have a door handle on both the inside and outside, so a knob to push down. At night, I want the deadbolt engaged, and in the morning I want to unlock it, but the door should still stay shut.

Thanks for your comment. We will add open door (unlatch) and unlock (only deadbolt) automation to aqara in the future to solve your second situation. In the first case you just need to unavalable the pull spring function on and it should work.

Hello, great question. I have a similar problem. I have the door set to automatically lock in the evening and I want to set the door to automatically unlock at the morning, but my type of door automatically “opens the door” after unlocking and retract the latch in the door, and after extending the latch, it stays open… I would just need to unlock the door and leave the latch in the extended position. When do you think we can expecting this function?

Hi, Thanks for your message. Could you take a photo for us to understand what type of door lock you are using? In most case you can just unavaliable the Pull Spring feature in Aqara Home app, and the lock will only Unbolt without Unlatch (Open door).

Actually it seems this feature is already supported in Matter Spec 1.2. Matter 1.2 Arrives with Nine New Device Types & - CSA-IOT
“locked” and “unlocked,” but also “unlatched” state is available in this spec onward.

Can I create a feature request somewhere for this? I also have a door without latch bolt handle from outside. So to open it from outside, I need to use the “pull spring feature” no matter what. But i want to unlock the door inside and not let the door open all the way and keep the latch bolt intact.

Any European doors do have a latch pulling lock and no door handle on the outside of the house or apartment.
It is necessary for the lock to be able to pull the latch, which the U200 does.
What is lacking is a separate function to only lock and unlock the deadbolt.
Support, don’t play dumb and hide behind specific “U200 version” shenanigans. Or reference to the manual.
This function is simply missing.
I can’t have a routine unlock my door in the morning, as this will also pull the latch and the door will spring open. And I cannot disable the “pull latch” function altogether as then I couldn’t enter the house without a key.

Adding my case here too. Same setup basically, ABUS Euro cylinder with no
outside handle, so Pull Spring isn’t optional for me, it’s the only way to
actually get in. Which means every unlock also pops the door open, no way
around it right now.
It’s been over a year since this got flagged as something you’d look into,
so figured it’s worth a bump rather than letting it quietly die in an old
thread. Also opened a support ticket referencing this if that helps get it
in front of the right people.
Not trying to pile on, just genuinely hoping this is still on the radar
somewhere. Even a quick “yes it’s coming” or “no, technical limitation”
would be appreciated at this point. Thanks!

I’ve been waiting for the function for years. She won’t come anymore. The U200 died for Aqara. They prefer to take care of new things.
