I was hoping to buy a backup battery for my U400 lock. Can you add me to anything related to this and when it might/could be available for purchase. Im ready to spend money to get this backup.

hi there, the U400 battery is not available for separate purchase currently. Actually there is no need to worry about the battery. One battery is enough for daily use, lasting about 6 months per charge. It supports around 500 charge cycles, so there’s no need to worry about it wearing out.

Good morning Caroline and team. The point is not the quality of the battery, but being able to hot swap to a fully charged battery without any downtime after the battery depletes…. I’m assuming the reason Apple sells the deluxe version of the U400 with 2 batteries is for this reason exactly. Since I’ve already purchased the color and finish that only comes with 1 battery I’d like to have that 2nd battery charged and ready to hit swap.

Good morning! I totally understand your concern, but you can also temporarily power the U400 with a power bank, so it shouldn’t be an issue I guess.
