I received the U600 smartlock today and was excited to get it installed.
Sadly that excitement disappeared once I tried to add it to the Aqara app. I managed to add it first time but when I tried to change any settings, like auto lock settings, I would get a popup saying bluetooth not connected.
When I went back to the main screen for the lock, the little bluetooth icon was flashing and when I pressed it, it said bluetooth connecting. It never connected.
I deleted the lock and reset it to start again. The issue persisted but I did finally get bluetooth working and was able to get into the settings. I did however have to leave out connecting it to the M3 hub for this to work.
If I then tried to connect the hub, it would fail every time.
I deleted the lock again and tried to add it like the first time and it would simply not connect at all. Just kept saying “bluetooth not connected” when I was trying to add it to the hub.
What I also noticed is that even when the handle was locked, the door could still be opened from outside which is a serious issue. The handle made the mechanical noise when locking to suggest something was happening inside it but it did nothing.
I spoke to Aqara and ultimately got nowhere so have to send it back for testing and then once they have more stock, they will send a replacement.
A bit worrying that this can happen. What if it decides to fail like this once it has been working fine and someone can just walk into your house.
