UI Customization: Selection Widget and Info Panels

I’ve been really enjoying the flexibility of customizing my UI in Home Assistant! One feature I recently stumbled upon is the Selection Widget mentioned in the forums. It’s such a neat way to add quick controls to my lists, and I love how it mimics the simplicity of the sitemap tool. I’ve been using it to control dimmers, and it’s been a lifesaver for adjusting lighting levels without having to navigate through multiple menus. Plus, the fact that it can be expanded to include more buttons is super handy!

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is the ability to add info panels to the home screen. I have various sensors around my house—temperature, humidity, rain detection—and it would be fantastic to have all that info consolidated in one place. Imagine being able to drag and drop these sensors into a custom panel on the home tab or a separate display tab. It would make monitoring my home so much easier and more efficient. I wonder if anyone has figured out a way to do this already or if there are any workarounds?

I’d love to hear from others who have successfully customized their UI or found innovative ways to display information. Whether it’s through widgets, custom cards, or even third-party integrations, I’m all ears! Let’s keep the creativity flowing and make our HA setups as user-friendly and informative as possible.
