Why on earth do I need to go out and press on the keypad to be able to use the U200 lock settings in Aqara app?!!!
It’s definitely frustrating, but there are likely two main technical reasons why the U200 requires a physical keypad press to access the admin settings in the Aqara app:

Physical Security: Requiring a physical touch likely also acts as a security measure. It ensures that someone is actually standing at the door before sensitive settings or passcodes can be changed.

Battery Saving: The keypad normally stays in a low-power sleep mode to maximize the life of its batteries. Keeping Bluetooth continuously available for app connections would significantly reduce its battery life. Even if you hardwire the keypad to an external power supply, it still goes to sleep and needs to be woken up manually!
