Unable to add Window/Door and Water Leak Sensors to G5 Pro Hub

I have deleted all my accessories from the M1S Hub and tried to bind them to the G5 Pro Camera/Hub.

No problems with the E1 Thermostat, FP2 or TVOC which added immediately but neither the Window/Door Sensor nor the Water Leak Sensor can be added giving me the Error Code 10012.

This even occurs if the sensor is held just below the Camera.

Any Ideas how to solve this? I tried the search function without success before posting.

Note that my VPN is turned off, and I am on the same Wifi Network (even though the Camera is technically PoE).

Thank you in advance for any help

@aqara_support I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with adding your Window/Door Sensor and Water Leak Sensor to the G5 Pro Hub. Based on the reference information available, here are a few suggestions that might help resolve this issue:

  1. Proximity to the Hub: Although you’ve mentioned holding the sensor close to the Camera, ensure that both the Window/Door Sensor and the Water Leak Sensor are as close as possible to the G5 Pro Hub during the binding process. Sometimes, even a small increase in proximity can help establish a connection.

  2. Connection Method: Make sure you are following the correct method to add these accessories. For both the Window/Door Sensor and the Water Leak Sensor, you should open the Aqara Home app, tap “Home,” and then tap “+” in the top right corner to enter the “Add Device (Accessory)” page. Select the appropriate sensor and follow the instructions provided.

  3. Network and Hub Settings: Ensure that your network settings are compatible and that the Hub firmware is updated to the latest version. It’s also important that both your phone and the Aqara Hub are connected to the same local area network.

  4. Error Code 10012: If you’re still receiving the error code 10012, it might indicate a specific issue that requires additional troubleshooting. Double-check any Aqara-specific settings or updates that might be needed.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be beneficial to reach out to the community for additional insights or contact Aqara’s Customer Service for further assistance. They’re often able to provide more tailored guidance based on specific error codes.

I hope this helps, and please keep us posted on your progress!

Please press and hold the device’s reset button (typically for more than 5 seconds). Under normal circumstances, the indicator light will flash rapidly, indicating that the device has entered the ready-for-network-configuration state.

After a failed network setup, observe the status of the indicator light. (Once configured successfully, the light typically turns off).

If the sub-device can be successfully added back to the original M1S Hub, the issue is likely not caused by the sub-device itself.
