I bought G400 doorbell from china
I am trying to bind it to aqara home app in UAE, my app region is china and I have several other aqara devices on my account including G4 doorbell
I am getting the attached message “device not found”
Device connects to homekit normally and streams and records normally
I have tried:
-uninstalling and reinstalling the app
-restarting the router
-resetting the device (both 10x press and 10 seconds)
-changing region
-changing wifi network (2.4 and 5G) and trying hotspot from another phone
-tried to bind from 3rd party option in app (Apple home)
-created a new account
-different phone
Did you tried already to unbind it from HomeKit before and first bind to Aqara app and then to HomeKit?
Ok, so where are you located? Did you already contacted the support?
located in Dubai, UAE
I did, they said normally I should get a message to request location change and then they will receive the request to process it, but this doesn’t happen and I never get it
and they couldn’t reproduce the fault in their labs for testing
Ok, where you bought it? Maybe it’s really a bad device…
With your other Aqara products you haven’t any problems?
Did you tried another location already? The stupid thing you need a hub for that
No problems with the other aqara products, I bought all from taobao
I tried changing location in app but didn’t work
Ok, so I would ask for a replacement
