Upgrading My SmartHome Hub and Game Night Setup with Govee Lights

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience upgrading my SmartThings hub and how it’s transformed my smart home setup. I recently moved from the older v1 hub to the new v2.0 model, and it’s been a game-changer in terms of performance and connectivity. But I didn’t want to let the old hub go to waste, so I did some research and found out that it’s possible to repurpose it as a repeater! This has been fantastic for improving the range of my devices, especially in my concrete house where signals can be tricky. It’s so satisfying to reuse the old hub instead of just tossing it aside.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with my Govee T1 LED strip and TV Neon Backlight for a fun game night setup. Pairing these with my favorite football game has been amazing. The lights really set the mood, and it’s been a hit with my friends. I love how customizable these lights are, and the vibrant colors make any room feel festive. I even created a quick scene in my smart home app to switch the lights to game mode with just one tap. It’s so convenient!

I’m also curious to hear if anyone else has creative ways they’re using their old hubs or if they have tips for optimizing smart home setups. Let me know in the comments! :rocket::sparkles:
