Valve controller installation

I installed it and set it up in Home Assistant. My only concern is the fact that it moves a little when activated. The controller is touching the wall because I don’t have much space to work with, and I don’t think I can tighten the screws any more. Please look at the videos and tell me what you think.

@applefab4 It sounds like you’ve made good progress with setting up your Aqara Valve Controller T1. From what you’ve described, it seems like space constraints might be causing the controller to touch the wall. Based on the reference information, ensure that the installation aligns with these steps:

  1. Installation Space: It’s vital to have at least 187 * 248 mm of space above the pipeline to ensure proper installation. If the controller is touching the wall, this might not have been achievable.

  2. Stability Check: Make sure the mounting bracket screws are tightened properly to ensure the device’s stability. However, avoid overtightening as it might cause damage.

  3. Device Wobble: If the device wobbles during operation, it’s recommended to re-fix it. This could involve adjusting the position slightly or ensuring the swivel arm is secured properly.

If you are unable to resolve the issue with the existing setup, I encourage you to share your experience with the community for additional insights. They might have faced similar challenges and could offer practical solutions.

Feel free to keep experimenting and sharing your progress!

@applefab4 It’s great to hear you’ve got the Valve Controller T1 set up with Home Assistant! Regarding the slight movement when activated, the reference information offers some insights. During installation, it’s crucial to ensure the device is stably fixed—if it wobbles or detaches during operation, re-fixing is recommended . Since you’ve already tightened the screws, double-checking the alignment might help: the output shaft should align with the valve’s center axis (for 4/6 points pipe diameter) or the swing arm axis with the valve handle (for butterfly valves) .

Also, the installation guide mentions reserving at least 187*248 mm of space around the pipeline to ensure proper operation . If the controller is touching the wall due to limited space, this might contribute to the movement. When adjusting, remember to remove the battery to prevent accidental operation .

If the issue persists, the community might have additional tips—feel free to share more details about your setup! For further assistance, you can also contact customer service through the Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) if needed.

Hope this helps!
