Hi everyone! I’m absolutely thrilled with my Vera controller and have been exploring its capabilities. One feature I’m really excited about is the ability to create custom buttons. I came across this idea where I want to set up a button on my Vera that, when pressed, opens a specific web page on my laptop. I’m curious if this is possible and how I might go about doing it.
I’ve looked through some of the forums and documentation, and it seems like Vera has a lot of flexibility with its scenes and integrations. I’m thinking maybe I can use a combination of a button press and a scene to trigger the web page. However, I’m not entirely sure how to map the button press to an external web action.
Has anyone else tried something similar? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any tips you might have. I’m also wondering if there are any limitations or potential issues I should be aware of before diving into this project.
This would be such a handy addition to my setup, especially for quick access to my smart home dashboard or weather updates. I can’t wait to give it a try and see how it goes!
