Hey everyone, I’ve been using the Vera Edge controller for a couple of years now, and it’s been working great with all my devices, including seven CT 101 thermostats for my radiant floor heating. Everything was running smoothly until I decided to update the firmware about a month ago. After the update, I noticed that my thermostats started acting up. They would occasionally show as ‘Can’t Detect Device,’ and changing settings became a hassle. I’d have to reset them every few days, which was pretty annoying but manageable.
Then, another firmware update rolled out, and I thought it might fix the issue. Unfortunately, it made things worse. Now, when I try to adjust the settings, the system goes through multiple ‘sending tries’ and eventually shows ‘Waiting for wakeup to send commands.’ This is especially frustrating because these thermostats are in a remote house, and I don’t have physical access to troubleshoot them. I can only log in remotely, which limits what I can do.
I’ve tried reaching out for help, but I’m not sure where to start. Has anyone else experienced similar issues after a firmware update? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping to get these thermostats back to working properly without having to replace them. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
